What an amazing and inspiring day at the London Marathon for our Popchoir members.
On the hottest London Marathon day on record, 150 of our members gathered outside the Walrus and Carpenter pub on Lower Thames Street and sang for 4 hours to keep specatators entertained and to cheer the flagging runners at Mile 23. It was a new location for us this year and we loved it. The crowds were amazing and we all really felt that we were needed by that point in the event to help spur on tired legs. We were also able to cheer on our very own Michelle Newman from our Chislehurst choir as she went by on her way to the finish line. Congratulations Michelle - an amazing achievement, and congratulations to all our singers who stuck it out in direct sunlight for the whole afternoon. A truly fabulous day all round.
A fantastic festive fundraising night!
We've had a fantastic start to the year and our regular choir rehearsals have helped everyone get through the gloom and wetness of January! We've been singing songs that leave us feeling warm and happy and there really is nothing quite like it to chase away any winter blues.
It's already a long hot summer, and what with the fabulous weather and the excitement of the world cup, we need something to keep the feel-good factor going during August!
The Greatest Showman Workshop: Saturday 11th August 10am-4.30pm
